Like other similar games, you will be stuck in the gameplay if you answer or get anything wrong. However, there is more to Amanda than meets the eye. If she gets sufficiently agitated, she may display her true colors. If this happens, you will be treated to a frightening scene. You will have to brace yourself every time you replace each VHS with the next one.
As mentioned, this is a short horror game. There are only three episodes to go through. If you don't make any mistakes, you can complete the story within five minutes. More than the short gameplay, players will also be disappointed to know that the game comes with tons of ads. Not only that, but the app itself is quite laggy, rendering the game unplayable.
Simply put, Amanda the Adventurer is not a real television show. However, Amanda’s character is said to be largely inspired by Dora the Explorer, seeing as there are some parallels between the two. There are similarities between the two titles’ names as well as Amanda and Dora having animal sidekicks. However, besides that, there are no more instances of resemblance.
Since the game’s release, multiple improvements and patches have been made for it so far. If you are into horror games, Amanda the Adventurer is worth picking up. It has simple gameplay made more interesting by the horror elements that creep up on you when you least expect it. However, the gameplay is too short that you can complete it within minutes. Not only that, but the app is also laggy and full of ads.
